Mobile Horticultural Workshop – have Wheelbarrow, will Travel!

Good to Grow, the local Northern Ireland horticultural co-op brought their interactive horticulture-based workshop to Edenderry Village Energy’s launch event earlier this month in the energy co-op’s home village.

Providing information on easy watering systems made from recycled pipes and pots and looking after a wormery, the co-op engaged with the audience in a make and take soil block activity. This gave participants the opportunity to leave with loaded vegetable seed primed plugs ready for spring growth on windowsill, garden or allotment.

Such is the current demand for garden therapy, the co-op already deliver unique bespoke social and therapeutic horticulture workshops and outreach to various outlets from healthcare to charities.
