Green Shoots for Carrick Community Greengrocer

Carrickfergus Community Greengrocer is an exciting new community co-operativein the process of establishing in the County Antrim seaside town. Recently celebrating a most successful community engagement night, which offered up the opportunity to chat to people about their plans to become a a community owned greengrocer in the town centre.
Supported by Co-op Alternatives, this refreshing approach to local in season produce, will provide delicious fresh food and employment to the local community. On the night, the directors of the new community benefit society told a compelling story on why they got involved in the initiative and invited participation and support from anyone from the local community.
The event was promoted through Positive Carrick CIC, which has been set up to bring vibrancy and community back to the town.
