Co-op Development – End of Year Review

We are at the end of 2021 and once again, thank to the Belfast City Council and Co-op Foundation our major sponsors, we can now count on a few more co-operatives in Northern Ireland.

We have offered support and helped constitute the following new co-ops:

  • Rabble Co-op
  • Edenderry Village Energy
  • Belfast Co-housing Mutual Ownership Society
  • Azora Community Farm
  • The ABC

We also worked with existing one such as Lacada Brewery, Ballymacash Sports Academy and Belfast Food Co-op since we are here to support local co-operatives during their journey of growth.

We spent more than 200 hours mentoring and delivered 16 online workshops that both have raised awareness on co-operatives or equipped participants with essential co-operative skills in governance, decision making and finance.
