Co-own farmland with Jubilee Farm

Launched on the 20th October, this new community share offer is the 10th share offer Co-operative Alternatives  have supported. The share offer will allow the newly established Jubilee Community Benefit Society Ltd to finalise the purchase of 13.5 acres of land in Larne, Northern Ireland. This is the first time in Northern Ireland that this model has been used to bring land in the ownership of a community. Jubilee Farm started their project from a temporary site and just over a 6 month period had involved over 100 school children via their school project and 400 visitors in the Bioblitz Festival of Science and Nature. Now with a new site in reach, they are planning to transform the land and the farmhouse to run a CSA scheme for the members, build a programme of interns and volunteers to learn new skills in farming and countryside management, improve well being of migrants and asylum seekers, in particular, through their care farm scheme. This offer will close on the 5th December 2018. Minimum investment  £50. For all the details and an application form please visit https://www.jubilee.coop/shareoffer/
