Jubilant Farm Coop Celebrates Successful Year on UTV’S Rare Breed Series

Jubilee Coop Northern Ireland’s first community-owned farm just outside Glynn in County Antrim has had a busy year. Hot on the heels, they have been busy keeping the coop running through the current crisis.

Covid did not stop activities on the farm, Jubilee is still vocal, featured on UTV’s Rare Breed series. The show has followed life on the farm over the last year, charting their success to date, covering everything from science festival talks to camera trapping for otters, plus volunteering and care farming with refugees, through to good old fashioned pig, goat and vegetable farming.

It offers up a wonderful opportunity to highlight the co-operative model for community supported agriculture initiatives. Their food and farming products are now on sales on the coop’s click & collect new online shop which opened in January 2021. The series runs through until April 2021.

We are delighted to announce that Jubilee Farm and Co-operative Alternatives will soon run together a training series on community farming to inspire new farming initiatives and share the wealth of learning we have. This collaboration is funded by Coop Foundation. Get in touch if interested with either Jonny at www.jubilee.coop or Tiziana at www.coopalternatives.coop.
